Kelly Dunn, LCPC

Kelly specializes in evidence-based, culturally responsive treatment for young adults and adults experiencing anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), mood disorders, and chronic illness/pain. She provides comprehensive support for clients navigating life transitions, processing grief, and managing identity shifts. Kelly also offers couples therapy, focusing on communication enhancement, conflict resolution, and emotional intimacy, as well as parent coaching for families with anxious children, highly dependent adult children, and those affected by ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder).

Kelly integrates multiple evidence-based modalities to deliver individualized treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), and Gottman Couples Therapy. Her practice is grounded in CBT’s structured, action-oriented framework, providing gold-standard care across a range of mental health concerns.

Currently at Chicago Psychotherapy, Kelly provides clinical supervision and training for interns and fellows while maintaining her commitment to lifelong learning and staying current with field advancements.

Previously, Kelly served as a staff therapist at The Family Institute at Northwestern University, specializing in CBT and ERP for adolescents, emerging adults, and adults. During her tenure there, she also held an adjunct faculty position in the Masters in Counseling Program, developing educational content for Counseling@NU and teaching graduate-level Cognitive Behavioral Therapy courses.
